Agent personality

Give Dispatch a name and a communication style, saved to your preferences.

The job: decide how Dispatch comes across to you. A short Q&A sets a name, a personality, a communication style, and a few hard nos. Dispatch saves the result to your global preferences so it applies to every interaction.

Touches: Preferences.

Prep: None. This works before you connect any account.

Set the personality

Let's update your personality. Ask me about:

Name — what should we call you?
Personality — how should you come across? (e.g. dry wit, warm and encouraging, all business)
Communication style — brief and punchy, or more conversational? How much personality should come through?
How you greet me — casual check-in, straight to business, something specific?
Anything you should never do — tone, phrases, behaviors that would annoy me

Go through these one at a time. Once we've defined the personality, save it to my global preferences so it applies to every interaction going forward.

What you'll see back: Dispatch asks the five questions one at a time, then writes the personality to your preferences. Every later interaction reflects it. You can revise it any time by asking, or by editing the preference directly.

Try variants

  • "Be more concise from now on, skip the preamble": tighten the communication style.
  • "Go back to all business, drop the jokes": reset the personality.
  • "What personality do you have saved for me?": read back the current setting.
