VIP alerts
Get pinged the moment a high-priority contact emails or messages you, on the channel you choose.
The job: never let the email from your top investor sit unseen under forty newsletters. This recipe sets up a trigger automation that watches incoming mail and messages; when the sender is one of your high-priority contacts, Dispatch sends you a short alert right away on the channel you pick, with who it is from and why it matters.
Touches: Inbox, People, Slack or Telegram, Automations. Pairs well with Contact priority.
Prep: Connect your email. Connect Slack or Telegram if you want alerts delivered there. Run Contact priority first if you want alerts to follow your P0-P3 tiers.
Set up alerts
Set up an automation that alerts me about important people. When I get an email or message from one of my high-priority contacts (P0 or P1), send me a short alert with who it's from, a one-line summary, and why it matters. Ask me which channel to send alerts on (Slack, Telegram, or email) and confirm who counts as high priority before you finish. Don't alert me for anyone else; everyone else stays in normal triage. What you'll see back: Dispatch confirms your alert channel and which contacts or tiers count as high priority, then creates the trigger automation. Alerts arrive only for the people you named. This notifies you; it does not reply on your behalf. To act on an alert, ask Dispatch (or pair this with Auto-draft replies so a draft is waiting too).
Try variants
- "Add my co-founder and anyone from @keyclient.com to the VIP list": extend the list by name or domain.
- "Only alert me during work hours": add a time window.
- "Alert me on Telegram, but batch P1 into my morning briefing instead of pinging live": split urgency by tier.
